Flower Farm Assistant Manager


25 hours/week, starting March 1st, 2018

Mon. mornings, Tuesdays all day, Wed. mornings, Fridays all day, some Sat. mornings


$12 starting wage, with increased salary based on production & sales

Job Requirements

This position includes growing, harvesting & marketing of cut flowers to wholesale and retail buyers. We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm and skill in marketing, as well as some degree of experience in growing plants.

Other qualifications include:

Positive attitude, flexibility, self-motivation, commitment to sustainability.

Ability to work well on a team, as well as to work alone and unsupervised at times.

Ability to work in all kinds of weather: hot, cold, windy or wet.

Enjoyment of strenuous physical labor, desire to learn how to work quickly and efficiently. Desire to learn and to serve the community with what you learn.

Who We Are

CommonWealth is a grass-roots urban farm in central Oklahoma City, growing vegetables, fruits and cut flowers on 5 urban lots. In addition to production, we have a strong focus on education, community engagement and sustainability. This position offers the opportunity to learn the business of growing and selling cut flowers in the context of a community-based organization.
